Our Community Leaders

The Membership Committee generates ideas and initiatives for member recruitment. Also develops programs designed to attract additional members and the modification of existing membership eligibility criteria, subject to the review and approval of the Board of Directors. 

The Strategic Programs and Events Committee develops, plans, and executes engaging activities that aim not only to energize, educate, support, and inspire our Chapter members but also our stakeholders, partners, and young people interested in careers in the multimodal, multi-billion-dollar transportation industry. 

The Scholarship Committee   

creates opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students in need to achieve their goals by providing financial resources. This committee’s mission is to support Maryland students facing financial challenges as they complete their studies.

The Communications Committee supports the overall comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for COMTO MD. Partners with each committee to maintain a consistent and active communications strategy to all stakeholders for the purposes of program messaging, fundraising, awareness and branding. 

The Emerging Leaders Committee cultivates the next generation of industry leaders with networking and professional development opportunities,  as well as formal and informal mentorship. Participating collegiate- and junior-level professionals will create industry connections and build long-lasting relationships. 

The Fundraising Committee creates opportunities that raise capital and operating funds necessary to support the development and delivery of Chapter's programs and services throughout Maryland. Oftentimes works very closely with the Programs/Events Committee.

The HUB/Small Business Committee assists COMTO with developing and maintaining a comprehensive and energetic program to promote the use of HUB vendors throughout the procurement process.
